we started . . .

Terra Publishing House in 2009 but were derailed by America's economic nightmare in 2009 and 2010 . . . oh, and 2011! One of the advantages of being detrailed is that we have actually learned to Prosper in Pajamas . . . honest. Turns out that the realm of silk pajamas is not reserved only for Hugh Hefner. (In addition to staying in pajamas, I, for one, really don't like shoes and have replaced them with various practical and impractical sandals.)

We are not quite up to our extraordinary union-protected position at The San Francisco Chronicle, to put it mildly, but we are gaining ground and expect to surpass those benefits and probably those salaries by the end of 2011 (ever optimistic!).

Fortunately, the juggling has not cut travel significantly; we added 12 countries in the past few years. Those journeys are excerpted at International Harbors, for which we have been invited to speak on cruise ships, which means free travel.

We are also returning to peace and growth through Wisdom To Change and by working on projects we love and consider valuable for many. We want to prosper. We want you to prosper.

As we grow in our path, we will share information with you, talk about our successes and success rate, and develop easy step-by-step guides to self-publishing, including (or especially) Fast Fun ePublishing which we hope will serve you well. All the electronic pieces are now in place to make the process relatively easy for anyone. The difficult part remains the putting of pen to paper (fingers to keyboard?) and making time to do what one loves.

All prayers are welcome during this process; if we can do it, so can you.

writing, publishing, marketing

The principal of Terra Publishing House worked in media for thirty years, successfully ran some of the largest events in the U.S., assumed key roles on several start-up companies and projects, took a substantial buy-out in 2002, traveled the world (starting in Bora Bora to the right), wrote and painted, and has missed the smell of print and discussions over punctuation and "correct" words ever since.

It seemed logical to start one's own publishing house given the many years' experience with writing, photography, illustration and running successful marketing campaigns, particularly eMarketing. We have a love of dissemination of information. We are curious beings . . . always wanting to know what's around the bend.

The reponse to "curiosity killed the cat," is "satisfaction brought it back."

Through associations with many fine editors, writers, and graphic designers, once Terra Publishing is running smoothly, services to assist you with publishing and marketing your book will be offered to help you fulfill your publishing dreams.
